WAZIR, a movie which keeps the viewer on the edge of the seat until the climax. Woke up early On a lazy Sunday morning to watch Wazir, the reason is simple. Some of the rare and best talents came together in this movie. Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Bejoy Nambiar, Amitabh Bachan & Farhan Akhtar, multi-talented individuals who can do magic with movies. The art of deception, the most favorite topic of every story writer is the key element here also and he wins it up to an extent.

This is a short movie with no lag in the story anywhere. The best part is the cast, Sr. Bachan sir and Farhan the rockstar made this movie interesting. The story line is simple, the base being revenge. The way they linked this story with chess had made this story interesting. After watching the movie, you feel like this was a game of chess between characters in this movie. There are many surprises in the movie and they play with our mind in a way that we can’t leave the seat until we know the truth.

Being a short movie with running time close to 2hrs, there is no point digging into the details of the story. Let me summarize Wazir, the story of a cop and a physically handicapped common man who met and became friends because of circumstances which lead to the climax of this movie ๐Ÿ˜› .ย The outstanding performances by Sr Bachan sir & Farhan Akhtar supported by Aditi Rao Hydari and Manav Kaul. Unlike the regular movies where you see a lot of bloodshed in the name of revenge, here it is straight to the point. Songs composed by Shantanu Moitra & Advaita were apt for the situations.

This movie is shot mostly in Delhi and a little part in Srinagar. In fact, there are more indoor scenes than outdoor ones. The start of the movie gives you doubt of a slow movie and gathers pace suddenly after which it never slows down, until…Well, you guys will understand where it slows down and that is the only negative part of the movie. While everyone waits for a twist, Bejoy Nambiar made sure that henceforth no one will wait for one ๐Ÿ™‚ in is the movie. The twist was simple and so predictable that I will say without that, this would have been an awesome movie.

My rating 3/5 based on the superb performances of Big B, Farhan and Aditi and the movie until the climax. If the climax was a bit different Iย would have rated this 3.5 /5
