Halloween is celebrated as the Day of the dead in Mexico

Halloween can be traced back 2,000 years to an Oct. 31 Gaelic Festival called Samhain (pronounced “sah-win”), which means “summer’s end” in Gaelic. The new harvest year was considered to be on Nov. 1. The Gaelic Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. The night of October 31 was believed to be the day the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.

These are some, there many stories about Halloween, but I never expected it to be so happening in Tokyo. The whole month of October was ‘Halloween specials’, Halloween decor, Halloween special burgers, Halloween special drinks, parties and what not. People in Japan love cosplay and so Halloween is a happening festival here. (Only after eating those delicious black scary burgers I remembered that I had forgotten to take a pic . Oops!! )
