We bloggers get excited when we hear about bloggers meet and events, the excitement is doubled when it’s an invite only, where you get to know that apart from fellow bloggers, brands are also a part of the meet. Much awaited So Delhi Confluence happened in Summer House cafe, South Delhi this weekend. I was excited to get in touch with fellow bloggers and also got a chance to make some good friends. Even though Summer House cafe was jam packed with bloggers, brands and social media influencers, Team So Delhi has managed to carry the whole event pretty well. I enjoyed the event along with the yummy food, drinks and music. A special mention to the goodie bags which had some cutest goodies. I don’t think anyone else has given such a goodiebag with so many gifts in it.
This was the first major blogger meet that I attended. I had missed many events because of my unavailability. Most of the time, I might be in a different city when a meetup or event like this happens. This was a very good experience especially the Brands vs Bloggers/influencers part. We got to know about may new good brands and startup’s. Also, got a chance to meet many fellow bloggers & social media influencers whom I knew only through their blogs and social media handles.
No doubt that So Delhi Confluence was a huge success as it was one of a kind. #sodelhiconfluence was one of the top trending tags on twitter. Parallely there were a few who were not happy and was more interested in defaming the event.
There were flaws but when you organize something this big there are chances of chaos, and this was the first ever confluence organised by So Delhi. I’m not supporting or mocking anybody but before pointing fingers on someone out of excitement let’s not forget it was our call to be a part of a successful event.
Throw in bloggers and Social Media Influencers of all kinds and forms, from fashion, food, travelling to technology, along with the biggest brands in lifestyle today and voila! – you get an effervescent cocktail of conversation, fun and emerging topics of debate that will transform the social landscape of the country. This is what happened at Summer House Cafe in the heart of South Delhi on 1st August 2015.
From over a whooping 1500 online registrations, So Delhi winnowed out the cream – the top 200 bloggers & social media influencers and mixed that in with around 100 leading business brands in the country, including H&M, Swatch, ITC, Taj Hotels, Sony, The Body Shop, Fitness First and many more.
The Confluence – an amalgamation of Content + Influencer Marketing Conference, kick-started with a quick introduction by So Delhi Founder and CEO, Digant Sharma, who illuminated the importance of quality content creation and the rapidly-gaining-traction concept of Influencer Marketing.
One of the highlights of the evening was the panel discussion between the blogger panelists which included distinguished names such as Komal Khulbe (www.thedelhifashionblogger.
After all that brainstorming, an electrifying Violin performance by Bella courtesy of Himalayan Natural Mineral Water enthralled and left the crowd speechless throughout especially her version of ‘Jai Ho’ from the Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack.
What followed was a lively introduction of PepperTap – The Grocery App followed by One Touch Response, an emergency app for women on the lines of 911. Fehmida Baba from Roposo enlightened the crowd about India’s biggest fashion community and fashion influencer marketing. Team Roposo also organized a fun pop quiz for all the fashionistas in the house, giving away amazing goodies for every right answer.
This was followed by a sensational introductory stand up performance by Utsav Chakraborty from the Satan Bhagat fame and the audience were then regaled with Manik Mahna’s particularly zestful brand of comedy.
A ‘Make Your Own Sandwich’ counter courtesy of Cremica Foods was set up for the guests to make sandwiches with some very unusual concoctions thrown up by them and 3 lucky winners took home big hampers filled with Cremica goodies.
The gathering then enjoyed an energetic discussion on ‘How to Monetize your Confluence’, with a distinguished panel of business heads including Udit Malhotra, a Digital Marketing Specialist & Nikhil Pallat from The LaLit Hotels Group who answered a volley of questions lobbed at them by the guests.
The party then moved on to the much-awaited Raffles give away, where 10 lucky winners were bestowed treasures such as hotel stays, meal vouchers, designer sunglasses and lots more.
Nothing is ever complete without music, is it? Which is why So Delhi decided to go out with a bang, oops no, a BAND – Chizai, who stole the show and got the crowd crooning with its Coldplay song renditions.
