Hello ppl, Hope you guys had a great weekend. We had a party attend and I also had guests at home, so we had quite a busy weekend. Let this week start with a dessert 😛 , and here is a easy-peasy dessert recipe for you guys- Suji/ Rava Kesari ,as you guys know I don’t cook or share complicated recipes 😉 .
 Rava Kesari

Rava/suji: 1 cup
Sugar: 3/4 to 1 cup (adjust as per your taste)
Ghee: 3 to 4 tablespoon
Water: 1-1/4 cups
Milk: 1/2 cup
Cardamom Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Cashew, Raisins: Few

  • Heat Ghee in a thick bottom pan and roast the rava/suji for around 3 to 4 minutes(stir constantly), make sure the rava is not burnt.
  • switch off the flame and transfer the roasted rava in a clean and dry plate to let it cool.
  • Now boil water, milk, cardamom powder and sugar in the same pan and when it starts boiling add the roasted rava. While adding rava stir the mix with the other hand continuously. (make sure lumps are not formed)
  • Add few drops of ghee
  • Keep stirring in low flame till the mixture thickens.
  • Cover the pan with a tight lid. Switch off the flame and leave it for 5 minutes. Serve the Kesari hot.
  • Decorate it with roasted cashew and raisins.Transfer to a plate and cut into small cubes.

Tks Tips:

  1. You can add few saffron threads/kesar in the water.
  2. I did not have kesari colour with me, you guys can add little kesari colour for a nice looking kesari.
  3. And if you don’t have kesari color or food color, you can add 1/4 tea spoon of turmeric powder in the milk which gives it a yellow color.
  4. You can  avoid milk in kesari.

So happy cooking girls 😀
