I have always admired the Mughal dynasty in terms of their style and elegance. It left us with inspiration for so many gorgeous forms of jewelry. There is the Kundan , Jadau, Pacchi and Polki. I love all of them! Though I chose a combination of kundan and polki for my wedding day jewelry, now given an option i would for sure go with jadau! It’s the rage these days with the brides to be. Loads of celebrities have also been seen wearing Jadau at various occasions.
It looks graceful , elegant and not too blingy! Lot of hard work and highly dedicated craftsmanship goes into making Jadau jewelry. A group of craftsman sit together to make a complete piece for you to adorn it 🙂 The central pieces are usually uncut diamonds like polki. The best part of owning a jadau set is you do not have to worry about the color or texture of your outfit all that much, believe me when I say it almost matches with 90% of your outfits. The bride with a jadau set sure looks gorgeous.
These are my favorite celebrity jadau spotting :
Talking about Bollywood and wedding royal jewelry, only two movies come to my mind! Jodhaa Akbar and Paheli! Here watch these to drool over Aishwarya Rai and Rani Mukherjee’s Rajasthani jadau jewelry and other royal sets.
