Speaking on the occasion, the co-founder and CEO of GISKAA, Meghanath Singh said, “It gives me immense pleasure to announce the launch of, through which the audience of the larger Indian Diaspora will be able to connect and apprehend the rich and varied cultural and traditional heritage the Northeast has to offer.” He further added that “Northeast India remains largely unexplored especially by people who don’t belong to any of the eight states – Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim. It is perhaps the geographical location of the Northeast that isolates it from the rest of the country. As such, many remain unaware of the rich Northeast culture and heritage. It was possibly this thought and the want to integrate the Northeast into the mainstream Indian culture that led us to come up with a platform called GISKAA, an online store.”
