1. Independence Hall  

Located in Philadelphia, Independence Hall is the place where the foundation of the U.S. as a  republic was laid. Independence Hall is a World Heritage Site and the centerpiece of the Independence National Historic Park. The building houses the iconic Liberty Bell that symbolizes American independence.

2. Mark Twain House

If you love Mark Twain’s work and have always wondered where the legendary writer got his inspirations from, you must visit the Mark Twain House and Museum. 3. Sagamore Hill  

Sagamore Hill was the home of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the U.S. for more than three decades. 4. American Civil War Museum

The American Civil War Museum is dedicated to the history of the country’s Civil War. The museum includes three sites that house numerous artifacts, manuscripts, and rare photographs. Museum of the Confederacy, one of the sites of the historic American Civil War Museum is home to more than 15,000 documents and 500 wartime battle flags.
